#LetsGetReel The Fairy Creek blockade has been going for months to prevent the logging of some of the last old-growth forests on Vancouver Island. 

There’s over 5 km of road-building approved into the Greater Fairy Creek Rainforest, including into the headwaters of the intact valley known as “Cloud Forest,” which is home to some of the oldest yellow cedar trees in Canada. The Fairy Creek blockade is the last stand to protect these forests. 

outspoken_narrative is a student-run organization with members across the world giving creators opportunities to create impactful films on the topics that matter to them.

“I want people to know that the youth of today are capable of making tremendous impacts through art and film. 

Uplift the stories in your community. Everyone has their own story which they want to share, they just need the spotlight to do so! 

Our biggest barrier is finding the stories which need to be heard and telling them to the best ability that we can. Storytelling is a long process, which if done right, can change lives and perspectives. We always are working to improve our methods and approaches to storytelling. “
