#TerrierTuesdays: Meet Sam Blackstein (CAS’26)
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Sam has made the most of her time at Boston University through her involvement in CAS. She is currently studying Political Science with a minor in Psychology. On campus, Sam began her leadership journey as a member of the FY101 Leadership Council. Throughout all four years, she has been an active member of the Boston University College of Arts and Sciences Student Government Student Affairs Committee. She has also been involved in the Pre-Law Society, served as a Class Gift Council member, and worked as a research assistant in Political Science. In addition, Sam served as both an FY101 Peer Mentor and later an FY101 Peer Fellow, guiding first-year students and helping train future peer mentors. Outside of campus, you can find Sam spending time with friends and exploring Boston. When asked what advice she has for fellow Terriers, Sam says: “Boston University can feel like an intimidating place when you first step onto Comm Ave, but remember that everyone around you is figuring it out too. Get involved, join clubs that interest you, raise your hand in class, and make memories with friends during late nights at Mugar Memorial Library. Spend time relaxing on BU Beach in the sun, grab a waffle on the COM Lawn, and go to office hours to build relationships with your professors. Say yes to new opportunities whenever you can, and never be afraid to ask questions along the way. Even if you don’t know exactly what the next four years will look like, that is how it is supposed to be.”
