In May, White Cube Mason’s Yard will present Shao Fan’s first UK exhibition, ‘Refrain / 复沓’, featuring a selection of his meticulously rendered ink-on-rice-paper paintings.⁠
⁠
The artist’s practice is informed by a deep engagement with traditional Chinese culture, whilst also referencing elements of Western art history. Mixing past with present, his ethereal works explore the interconnectedness of humanity and nature.⁠

📍 ‘Refrain / 复沓’ will be on view from 22 May – 27 June 2026 at White Cube Mason’s Yard.⁠
