It takes a village to highlight a star. Our Athlete of the Week series was created for one reason: to give our local high school athletes the spotlight they’ve earned. We know the talent is out there, but to do this right and give these kids the professional recognition they deserve, we need your help.

We’ve hit a few hurdles with the initial rollout… from a low number of early nominations to missing parent consent forms for the athletes who were submitted. Because we want this program to be a high-quality experience for the families and the community, we’ve made the decision to keep applications open but wait until this Fall to cast the first official vote.

Why the wait? We want to ensure every nominated athlete has a fair shot at winning. This isn't just a poll; it's about celebrating the hard work happening on our local fields and courts.

How you can support:

Nominate: If you know a student-athlete killing it in their sport, get their name in the mix.

Parents: If your child is nominated, please keep an eye out for the consent form. We can’t feature them without it! 

Share: Tag a coach, a parent, or a local sports fan in the comments.

Let’s spend the summer building a massive roster of talent so we can hit the ground running in the Fall.
