## Caption

I was born into a Christian home, always went to church, and have been a believer in God. I was baptized as a baby, and I believe that God created heaven and earth. I believe he created me in his image and deeply cares about me. Jesus to me is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the one and only God, who sent his perfect one and only son to die on the cross to pay for our sins. The Holy Spirit guides me to know right from wrong, and to lead me on God’s path.
 
My favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:6, says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.” I like this verse because it reminds you that you don’t need to worry, and instead, you can pray, and God will answer in his timing and comfort you. 
 
God has worked in my life in many ways, but one particular moment was when I broke my nose. My knee went into my nose when I was jumping on a trampoline. It hit my nose so hard that I fractured my septum, broke the main bone in my nose, and the bottom of my nose split open, requiring stitches. When we were at the doctor, we were told I needed surgery. I hate surgery. But after hearing the news, I felt this sensation and thought, “Why am I not scared of this surgery?” I believe that was the Holy Spirit comforting me and assuring me I was gonna be OK. 
 
Through the years, my understanding of God has changed. When I was younger, I didn’t know much about him. I just thought he was God and not much else. But now I understand he is the way, the truth, and the life, the Messiah, the one and only God, and the one who paid the price for all our sins. One way I have strengthened my relationship with God is through prayer. Prayer brings me closer to God and helps me have a better relationship with him because I can talk to him about anything on my mind. 
 
Confirmation means locking in your faith for life and pursuing Jesus in everyday life. As I get older, I plan to continue my journey with God and grow in my faith. I will spread the love of Jesus Christ by sharing the Good News with all people and loving them the way he loves everybody, and trying to live more like Jesus.
