Meg,
I owe you this thank you… Before I met you, I feel like a part of me was missing. With you coming into my life, I figured out who I really am, and what I care for most in the world. A true friendship; having someone by my side no matter what. That is who you are to me; my “no matter what”. Having you by my side, knowing that I have you to talk to, cry to, laugh at the most random things for hours is my blessing. You knew my struggles and were there for me. You saw me for who I really am, with all my mistakes and embarrassments and you still chose to be by my side. That is when I knew I won in this life, I had a true friend, someone I can actually open up to and trust. Meg, thank you so much for being on my side, and letting me be vulnerable to you.
Now might seem like a goodbye, but I see this as a little break, not from our friendship, but for you; from your struggles that are going on in your head and those struggles that I can’t reach to and help you with. I want you to know, I am so proud of you for being so brave, and so strong. I am proud of you for being a great sister, friend, and a teammate even when you had every reason not to be. This is a big step for you and for your future, and I am so proud of you for taking this step. Putting your needs first, and going to a place where you will be happy and successful.
