A Rattler Legacy: Two Sisters. Two Doctorates. Five FAMU Degrees.

“After graduating from SBI, I secured my dream job at NASA but still wanted to pursue law. Fortunately, the College of Law was located in Orlando and I already knew the quality of education I would receive, so I enrolled in their evening part-time program while continuing to work at the Space Center. Three years later I have achieved a lifelong dream of a law degree and am one step closer to becoming a part of the 2% of attorneys that are Black women.”

“My interest for FAMU began as  I witnessed my sister’s success throughout her matriculation. When I stepped onto campus my freshman year, I looked up to the current DPT students in gray scrubs and knew one day I too would walk the halls of Lewis Beck and wear them. Seven years later, I can look back and tell my younger self, you did it. The dreams you crafted with your friends in Village and Coleman are being actualized.”
