#USOC2026: ColumbusCrew end oneknoxville’s fairytale run in the U.S. Open Cup with a 4-1 win. The game opened with fireworks from both sides as Columbus’ Hugo Picard and One Knoxville’s Braudílio Rodrigues scored early goals. 

The Crew’s relentless pressure wore down their USL League One opponents. Two more goals by Dániel Gazdag and Chase Adams on clinical finishes put the game away for Columbus. 

One Knoxville SC can hold their heads high after three wins in the tournament, including two on penalties and a win against DC United in their first match against a MLS-side two weeks ago. 

With the win, the Columbus Crew advance to the quarterfinals, which will take place on May 19 or 20. The Crew are two wins away from reaching their first U.S. Open Cup final since 2010. The draw for the quarterfinal matchups will take place tomorrow (Thursday) morning.
