Replying to @/opt/dt/adam not trying to single this commenter out in any way other than to address a comment I see a lot.  I hear this all the time but I don’t think the average person understands how much meteorology has advanced in the last 50-60 years.  As for the 2-3 days. Studies have shown high accuracy for forecasts in the 1-3 day mark and lower forecasting ability out to day 5. Our ability to forecast out to day 7 and 10 is still on the low end but improving. That’s true for the best meteorologists in the country. That is where our science and technology have us limited. But that accuracy will likely continue to increase decade by decade until we can hit day 10.  Forecasts are always changing, if you want to make sure you know the most accurate forecast, look for the most recent on.
