For Ebeth, welcoming her second child was a full‑circle moment. 👶

She’s a midwife at goldcoast.health with over a decade of experience in the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) continuity of care model. Recently, she gave birth to her daughter, Bronte.

She experienced a deeply healing birth this time around, after having complications birthing her son, Albie four years ago.

Ebeth’s water birth was both empowering and personal. She was supported every step of the way by her friends and fellow midwives, Monique and Faye. 🤗

‘It was so special to have two of my MGP colleagues and friends, who I trust so implicitly, look after me during the birth,’ Ebeth said.

‘One of the things we talk about as midwives is that when women have positive births, they make positive mothers.

‘I truly feel that and had the most phenomenal birth.’

For midwife Monique, the continuity of care model allows every experience to be tailored to the individual. While caring for a colleague can bring added pressure, she had full confidence in the care provided. 🌟

‘Our model is the gold standard for a reason,’ Monique said.

‘Midwives have babies too, and there’s no one else I’d rather they come to.’

Now home with baby Bronte, Ebeth says experiencing the MGP as a patient has only deepened her passion for the work she does.

Congratulations Ebeth, and thanks to you and all midwives for everything you do! 🫶
