Ryan Shazier launched his national football profile as a highly productive linebacker for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2011 to 2013. During his collegiate tenure, he emerged as a relentless defensive anchor, finishing his college career with 315 tackles, 14.5 sacks, and multiple forced fumbles. His combination of raw speed, tackling precision, and high football IQ earned him first-team All-Big Ten honors and All-American recognition. After a standout junior season where he led the conference with 143 total tackles, Shazier chose to enter the professional ranks and was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round as the fifteenth overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.
In the NFL, Shazier quickly translated his college success into professional dominance, becoming a pivotal playmaker for the Pittsburgh defense.
