I was pleased to be able to take a break from knocking on doors and meeting with residents of Ward 6 to travel to Reno to celebrate the Guinn Center's affiliation with UNR. As the founding executive director of the Guinn Center, Nevada's only statewide #nonpartisan policy center, I am proud of the work I led. We were able to demonstrate that we can work across party lines, good ideas (and data) > partisan politics, and the important work gets done in the middle. I grew the organization from 5 figures to 7 figures in revenues.  If elected to serve as your next Councilwoman for Ward 6, I will govern the same way I led the policy center for 9 years: committed to talking to stakeholders with different (partisan) perspectives to understand their issues/concerns, being transparent, sharing data, and remaining open and accessible to individuals who have an idea, concern, or suggestion.
