Lucky Shot by Rebecca Jenshak stole my heart from start to finish. This grumpy x sunshine, single dad hockey romance had everything I love: found family, forced proximity, laugh-out-loud banter, and so many swoony moments I could hardly put it down.

Nick Galaxy is the broody single dad hockey player who “wasn’t looking for love” but Ruby, a vibrant and quirky romance author, brings light into every corner of his life. She’s chaos and sunshine, he’s structure and gruff charm, and together they just fit. Watching Nick soften around her, and Ruby find her spark again, was everything. The way Ruby connected with Nick’s son and how his teammates instantly treated her like one of their own gave me all the warm and fuzzy feels.

This book was cozy, funny, tender, and delightfully swoony. The perfect kickoff to a series I already know I’ll be obsessed with. 🏒
