The Devil Himself

That first chapter literally ripped my heart out but I knew everything BB writes has a reason even if it was to make me cry in the first chapter. I never knew I needed more from Ireland after the Devil of Dublin but I'm so happy with The Devil Himself. Damien and Clover neither of them has had easy, happy lives as they were filled with filled with sorrow and trauma but they still had hope amongst all the layers of angst, action, suspense, heartfelt emotions, romance and some spice. I loved how Darby's folklore story was such a strong influence on Clover who dreamed of her knight like Kellan and she found him in Damien because even through everything they have to go through, true soul mates are always meant to be and they will always find each other again. This book this book provokes every single emotion but it is well worth it at the end of this emotional journey as you leave believing in the power of true love and always finding your soulmate in every lifetime. Finishing the book, the first chapter as gut wrenching as it was, is perfect.

While I did read the e-book first and I also had the chance to listen to the audio book. I am not an audiobook listener as I've always tuned them out and can never focus enough to image what is going on like I can with a book. But this one kept me hooked and I literally listened to it all in one day and I have to say it was all due to the narrators. They drew me in with their amazing emotional narration and felt authentic to the characters I imagined. Lets just say, I grew up in an Irish family and hearing the accent but I've never heard it as sexy and strong as Eric Nolan along with Elizabeth Klett, Odette O'Beirne, and Laurence Killen all have amazing voices that helped bring the sound to the characters I was imagining.

So if you are debating about getting the audiobook or the actual book, you can't go wrong with either. Both hit you with such a powerful emotional punch, that I can officially say this one has left me with a book hangover and it was well worth it. This will be one of the stories that will permanently take up residence in my brain and never forget.
