Last year, 431 incredibly special community members stepped up to become Court Appointed Special Advocate, or CASA, volunteers and provided life-changing advocacy for a child in foster care. Yet, with nearly 6,000 children navigating the system this year—many entirely on their own—the need remains critical. 

A CASA is a dedicated volunteer who serves as the consistent voice for a child. By focusing on only one child or sibling set at a time, a CASA is able to build a deep, trusting relationship and truly understand a child's unique hopes and needs. A CASA can be the difference between a child thriving or simply existing as a number during a traumatic time in their lives.
