Voices for Children invites you to be part of Giving Tuesday and give in honor of your sibling 👉 https://buff.ly/4hYlV6L

Every dollar you donate on Giving Tuesday will be matched up to $25,000. That means your gift can change the lives of not one but two vulnerable youth, like Luis and Sean, and empower CASAs, like their CASA, Art.

In 2000, brothers Luis and Sean were supposed to meet their mother at the bus stop after playing at the park. They never saw their biological mother again. Over the next four years, they would experience 11 different placements, a constant upheaval in their lives. However, a turning point came when they were assigned their CASA volunteer, Art. Upon meeting the boys, CASA Art immediately recognized their strong bond and Luis's protective nature towards his younger brother. He made it his mission to keep them together, becoming the first person to provide a sense of security for Luis and Sean.

CASA Art visited Luis and Sean frequently, spending time at their school, particularly in the music classroom, as the boys' had a particular interest in playing instruments. When Luis desired to learn the saxophone, CASA Art went above and beyond, gifting him a black case with an engraved saxophone, which spoke volumes about his dedication to the boys' well-being. While at the school, CASA Art got to know Sean’s teacher, Ms.Green, and learned she was interested in adopting the boys. Despite an uphill climb through the legal system, CASA Art advocated tirelessly for Luis and Sean to grow up in a loving home with Sean's teacher. Today, Ms.Green is Luis and Sean’s mom, and their experiences in foster care led to a lifetime relationship with CASA Art that continues to evolve as these young men experience different chapters of their adult lives.
