Today is #GivingTuesdayNow, a campaign created to support the individuals and communities impacted by COVID-19. It is fitting that this day of generosity comes at the beginning of #FosterCareMonth!

Throughout this crisis, it has been clear that children in foster care don't have the same support systems, resources, and opportunities many of us take for granted. Even more dire, many children are now isolated at home where they are out of the watchful eye of teachers, child care providers, or other adults who might notice and report abuse or neglect. When the stay-at-home orders are lifted, it's likely more children will enter the foster care system. Thankfully, the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers trained and supported by Voices for Children are there to ensure children in foster care know they are never alone. Although CASAs are not able to meet with children in person right now, they continue to advocate on their behalf.
