I’m long overdue for a reintroduction here! ✨ If you’ve been here for a while or know me personally, let me know what I missed! 

I’m Janyl: a wife, mom of two, practicing estate planning attorney, and former wealth advisor. I also create content.😉 My husband, dr.marvinksmith, is an orthopedic surgeon, and together we’re raising Summer (6) & Cooper (3).

I think Summer still carries the mantle as everyone’s favorite Smith.😆 She’s thoughtful, inquisitive, and basically an orthopedic surgeon at this point. My Cooper is the prince of the houseand, at 3yo, gives me a run for my money like he’s billing in six-minute increments lol.

I’m an IVF mom, and like many of you, I’m navigating motherhood, womanhood, marriage, professional obligations, fitness, and everything in between in real time. Grief is also unfortunately a part of my story, like it is for so many others.

Here’s what you’ll find here: a glimpse into our family life, how we parent, and the way we move through the world—the things we do, how we do them, the places we go, etc.

Alongside that, I share my work: estate planning and wealth-building strategies in ways that are easy to understand. This year, I’m excited to be building a collection of practical resources I use in my practice and in my own life and that you can use in yours—tools to help you get organized, think ahead, and protect what you’re building. 

I also like to share products, brands, and services we use and love. I don’t gatekeep, but I’m also not into overconsumption, so if it’s here, it fits into our life. I’m an “outfit repeater” and notoriously not the best at linking—but I’m going to try to do better! 😂
