⚡️It may be Throwback Thursday, but today we’re only throwing it back 24 hours—because last night 100 percent deserves its own spotlight.

🎭 Call it Thespian Thursday. 

💃🏻 🕺🏻 Our Upper Division cast and crew brought Grease to life at the Elaine Wolf Theatre at the JCC with humor, energy, and choreo and vocals that had the whole audience captivated.

🩷 🖤 From the Pink Ladies and T-Birds to the choreography, staging, set design, lighting, sound, and seamless transitions—every detail reflected the work, creativity, and collaboration behind the scenes. This wasn’t just a performance; it was a full production.

As Upper Division Principal Dr. G-T put it, the energy in the theatre was electric—and you can see it still carrying over on campus today. The performers are absolutely riding that momentum.

They’ve got skills…they’re multiplyin’. ⚡️

As the performers, community and faculty production team reflect on a smashing success, everyone on campus is talking about how nights like those are part of what makes DJDS what it is. In the same week, students might be checking out the new kittens at the Farmette, engaging in rigorous academics in the classroom, setting new school records on the basketball court or baseball field, and absolutely shining on stage. There’s space here for all of it.

⚡️Not your average Thursday. Not your average throwback. And definitely catching lightning.  Greased lightning, that is.
