Mom, you always reminded us life isn’t about what you have, it’s about who you have. The last 6 months have easily been the hardest of my entire life. It hasn’t gotten easier. I miss you every single day. But I see you in those around me and I hope you can see how incredibly lucky I am to be surrounded by these people.

I don’t know how I would’ve made it through without them. The ones who checked in, who sat with me in quiet when I didn’t have words, who reminded me I wasn’t alone and that you were still with me even on the hardest days. While I don’t have photos with all of them, they know who they are.

You were right about what matters most, Mom. I love you always.
