The Gryphons women’s basketball team had another stellar season, winning 16 games in the regular season for the third time in their last four seasons. The Gryphons earned a playoff victory on home court over the Waterloo Warriors and reached the OUA quarterfinal stage for a fifth consecutive season.

The Gryphons men’s basketball team had a memorable 2025-26 season, earning homecourt advantage for a playoff game for the first time since the 2008-09 season. The Gryphons defeated the Windsor Lancers in the opening round of playoffs and advanced to the OUA quarterfinals, where they would take the eventual OUA champions from TMU to overtime, before ultimately falling just short versus the OUA’s top-seeded TMU Bold.
