## Caption

These river systems are one of the coolest natural phenomenon I have ever seen. Twisting and winding with intricate colors, ever changing, bright with rich colors.

If you are able to take a flight over these rivers your jaw will be on the floor the entire time. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Emerging as a river: Where the glacier meets lower ground, typically at its snout or terminus, this pressurized meltwater bursts out, often milky or turquoise in color from suspended glacial sediment called rock flour. These outflow streams are called proglacial rivers and are typically braided, wide, and seasonally variable in flow.
The result is a river system fed not by rainfall in the traditional sense, but by the slow release of ancient frozen water, making glacier rivers uniquely sensitive to temperature changes.
