Her team filed 3 trademarks in the US — two for her voice, one for her stage image.

Here's why that matters.

AI can now copy someone's voice without using any of their real recordings. It can also make fake photos that look completely real. Copyright law was not built for this. So right now, very little stops someone from doing it.

A trademark works differently. If something is too similar to what you have trademarked, you can take legal action. It is simpler and stronger than copyright in these cases.

So by trademarking a short voice clip and one iconic image from her Eras Tour, Taylor now has a direct legal tool to use against AI misuse.

This is not just about one artist protecting her brand. This is the first clear example of how public figures can fight back against AI in a way that actually holds up.
