Midge Purce is not a fan of the 'Rodman Rule.' The Gotham FC forward spoke out against the NWSL’s High Impact Player Rule which allows teams to override the salary cap by $1 million for players that meet a specific “high impact” criteria. Despite concerns that the rule limits what a player is worth, it was adopted in December 2025, leading the NWSLPA to file an ongoing grievance with the league.
