Iceland Day 7 - Glacier and Diamond Beach

Continued northeast to the last of the super-tourist-famous destinations, where a glacier breaks off into an open lake and washes up on the nearby beach. Tons of wildlife in the freezing water, including birds and seals (last slide 👀). Ended the day by checking out a nearly infinite black-sand-wetland peninsula and an abandoned viking village film set!

1️⃣🏞 Jökulsárlón is a lake FILLED with icebergs ...and icebirds (photos 1/2/4/7/8/13/14/18)
3️⃣⛰️ Svínafell cliffside - views like this were amazingly common along Ring Road
5️⃣🔍 Diamond Beach - when the tide goes out from Jökulsárlón, some of the icebergs break apart and cover this beach in large chunks of ice (photos 5/15/16/17)
6️⃣🚿 Svartifoss surrounded by basalt - I took some long exposure shots to smooth the water out, but this normal one ended up looking really gritty (& complicated technique doesn't mean anything if the picture's still lame)
9️⃣🌁 This vehicle bridge (along "ring road") goes over the water connecting the iceberg lake (seen in the distance, in front of the glacier) to Diamond Beach (behind me) (photos 9/10)
1️⃣1️⃣🛶 Fjallsárlón - This was the second of 3 places we pulled over to check out the glacier.
1️⃣2️⃣🧊 Svínafellsjökull Glacier - spot the tiny people in the left-middle looking up at the massive glacier. This was the first of our 3 glacier-viewing-spots.
