The Toronto Maple Leafs won the NHL Draft Lottery and hold the No. 1 overall pick in next month’s NHL Draft.

After missing the playoffs for the first time since 2016, the Leafs now have their first No. 1 pick since 2016—when they selected Auston Matthews. 👀

It marks the third time the franchise has had the No. 1 overall pick with Penn State winger Gavin McKenna as the projected top pick. 👏

Mckenna had 15 goals and 36 assists in 35 games in his freshman season at Penn State. He was CHL player of the year the previous season, leading the Medicine Hat Tigers to the Memorial Cup final. 🔥

The NHL Draft will be held in Buffalo on June 26 and 27. 🤩🏒
