Meet some of the rescue residents who have been given a second chance of survival thanks to the seaworldfoundation 
 
While the goal of every rescue is to rehabilitate and return, on some occasions due to the severity of the injury, age of the animal or inability to survive in the wild, some rescued animals are deemed unable to be returned to their environment.
 
On these occasions, a welfare decision based around the best interest of the individual animal is undertaken by governing bodies with zoological facilities like #seaworldaus becoming sanctuaries where the animals can live out the rest of their life and receive world-class care, access to modern veterinary treatments, and a species-specific enrichment and diet regime.  
 
Rescue residents at #seaworldaus, like Tilly the Sub Antarctic fur seal, Cliffy the bottlenose dolphin, Hudson and Nelson the Polar bears, and Big Guy the Loggerhead turtle, become ambassadors for their species and educate guests on how they can do their part to conserve the marine environment and the animals that reside in it.
