Hades 2 recently came out on the PS5 and I’ve been having an absolute blast playing through it. It reminded me how much I enjoy Greek mythology; and I hope you enjoy it too, because I’m making the inadvisable-for-the-algorithm decision to have a month of Hades 2 and mythological adjacent content lol.

But man, the piecemeal storytelling in the Hades franchise and the meta/ludo narrative is so damn good. I can take or leave action roguelikes and lites, but with both games there’s the same impetus I felt with Killer7 to churn through the rinse-and-repeat gameplay (that’s still bloody solid) to reveal as much of the interwoven tale as possible.

Anyway, with regards to actual ASMR, there should be something for everyone, so fear not! In this particular Hades 2 roleplay, you are Narcissus' reflection, so you can expect a lot of sultry whispering and very self centred positive affirmations. But hey, you’ve earned it! It’s all right to have a bit of self love – maybe not quite to the extent of this fella, but everything in moderation I guess… Enjoy!

FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds – just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos – but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.
