BASE jumping is considered the most dangerous extreme sport on earth, with a fatality rate roughly 43 times higher than skydiving. Unlike skydiving, jumpers exit from fixed objects at low altitude, giving parachutes less than 3 seconds to fully deploy, which is why precision and timing are everything. A “human launch” style exit, where one jumper uses another as a platform before separating mid-air, reduces that already tiny margin even further. The peace sign on the way down suggests she was never worried for a single second.
