Hongmei Wang’s idea is still experimental and mostly being tested in animals. Her research explores whether altering hormonal cycles could slow ovarian follicle depletion, but fertility loss is also driven by egg quality decline and genetic damage, not just quantity. Early studies and related work, including stem cell approaches, suggest fertility extension is complex and far from clinically proven.
