#TSRAngelz: #TedTurner, the founder of CNN, has passed away at the age of 87 after a battle with Lewy body dementia. CNN was founded by Turner on June 1, 1980 in Atlanta GA. It was the first ever 24-hour news station, landing him the nickname “Mouth of the South.” Ted also founded Cartoon Network and TNT.

Turner was married to actress and activist #JaneFonda for a decade before their divorce in 2001. Aside from his foundational work in television, Ted was a former owner of the Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Braves. He was also known for his philanthropy.
