Whew! During day two of the trial involving #StefonDiggs and his former chef, #JamilaAdams, the courtroom witnessed intense questioning regarding a reported $5.5 million demand. The trial follows accusations of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault.

In a Massachusetts courtroom on Tuesday, Adams was asked if her lawyer had contacted Diggs’ team with this financial demand. After a brief pause, she stated, “Mr. Diggs offered me $100,000 to recant my statement. That is the only—“ However, she was interrupted with a motion to strike her statement before she could finish, and her response was removed from the record as “non-responsive.”

Adams had been on the witness stand for only ten minutes when a recess was called. When the trial resumed, the judge made it clear to the jury that her statement could not be considered during deliberations. He also warned Adams that her testimony would be excluded if she did not directly answer the questions posed to her. Diggs’ legal team continued to press her about the $5.5 million demand, but Adams claimed she could not discuss it due to “attorney-client privilege.” Diggs' team stated Adams made a financial demand for $19,000 on Dec. 29, the day the criminal complaint was issued.
