AI/CC Metamorphosis Challenge — Honorable Mention

Honorable Mention goes to Melisa Scarcella ai.bardo for the work:

“PULSE”

In this haunting and poetic piece, metamorphosis emerges not through spectacle, but through vulnerability — suspended in the delicate space between anatomy and transcendence.

A human heart becomes cocoon, vessel, and threshold all at once.
Muscle transforms into wing.
Weight transforms into ascent.

“PULSE” captures the fragile moment before becoming — where transformation is still internal, unfinished, and quietly alive beneath the surface. The imagery feels intimate and symbolic, balancing the visceral reality of the body with the ethereal suggestion of rebirth.

There is tenderness in the mutation.
A sense that flight is not escape, but the result of enduring everything the heart was forced to carry.

The work beautifully reflects metamorphosis as an emotional and biological process — one where growth begins in the most vulnerable places within us.

Congratulations to Melisa Scarcella for this deeply evocative and memorable work.
