Yesterday was one of those moments I know I’ll never forget 💕

Samantha has been wanting to learn how to do her own makeup, so we booked a lesson with a makeup artist named Amy. As a mom, you always hope your child walks into spaces where they feel comfortable, welcomed, and understood… and from the moment they met, I could see that this was going to be one of those moments.

Amy has a cousin with Down syndrome, and the connection between her and Sam  was instant. Samantha went from nervous and shy to smiling, and feeling completely confident in herself ✨

Watching Amy patiently teach her every step — how to blend, apply mascara, and choose colors that made her feel beautiful — meant more to me than I can put into words. She wasn’t just teaching makeup. She was building confidence, independence, and joy. 🥹💖

Honestly, that is what it is all about. 

To Amy: thank you for making Samantha feel seen, capable, and beautiful exactly as she is. The world needs more people like you 💕
