Magic Johnson delivered a powerful message to Tuskegee University graduates during the Spring 2026 Commencement Exercises.

The NBA legend, businessman and entrepreneur challenged HBCU graduates to work hard, protect their social media presence, understand money, and prepare for the future of AI. Speaking from the perspective of an employer, Magic told graduates that talent matters — but discipline, problem-solving and professionalism matter just as much.

One of his strongest messages: “Be solution driven.”

He also warned graduates that social media can either be a tool or a setback, and said learning AI will be critical in the modern workforce.
