Not quite a chick, not quite a laying hen 🐔 As your birds grow, start watching for the visual cues: 🪶Feathers fully filled in  🗺️ Less huddling, more independence and exploration   ↗️ Starting to explore higher ground That’s your sign it’s time to level things up 👇 ➡️ Turn off the heat 🔥 once they’re fully feathered, they’re built for it ➡️ Add proper roosts 😴  they want to get off the ground, give them a place to sleep   ➡️ Change their diet  @Purina Animal Nutrition Farm to Flock chick starter is great for early development, and their layer feed is awesome when they’re producing, but this in-between stage needs something different. Too much calcium = stress on developing birds Too much protein = not necessary anymore 👉 This is the grower phase. And that’s why a grower feed is inportant for proper balance.
