A recent breakthrough in a decades-old case is giving new hope to families across Arizona who are still searching for answers.

Last month, a woman who went missing as a teenager in 1994 was found alive more than 30 years later — something experts say is incredibly rare.

Now, families of other missing Arizona girls from the 1990s are speaking out, hoping that new attention could finally lead to answers.

One of those cases is Mikelle Biggs, who vanished in 1999 while riding her bike in a Mesa neighborhood. Her family says she disappeared in a matter of moments, and they’ve now spent over two decades searching for answers.

Another is Stephanie Benton, who went missing in 1995 from a park in Bullhead City. Her family says her disappearance has left an open chapter that still hasn’t been closed.

Investigators say cases like these are extremely difficult to solve over time, often relying on new witnesses or someone finally coming forward with information.

For the families, the uncertainty never goes away — and they continue to hope that someone, somewhere, knows something.
