Relax, Hantavirus is not the next Covid, and it's extremely unlikely we would have another shut down.

🦠 Although both HANTAVIRUS and COVID are RNA viruses, HANTAVIRUS spreads very differently than COVID. COVID spread rapidly person-to-person through respiratory droplets and aerosols 😷 while HANTAVIRUS is usually linked to exposure to rodent urine, saliva, or droppings 🐭 (however, one strain known as the ANDES strain can pass from person to person with prolonged contact).

👉 That DOESN’T mean HANTAVIRUS should be ignored. It can absolutely be serious and even life-threatening in some cases, especially when it affects the lungs. Symptoms often start like the flu with fever, fatigue, and muscle aches before progressing to shortness of breath.

✅ The good news? It appears MUCH less contagious than COVID based on current evidence. 📚

🚨 Bottom line: stay informed, use common sense, and maybe wear a mask before cleaning out that dusty garage or shed 😅
