🦠 HANTAVIRUS is back in the headlines after reports linked it a recent cruise ship outbreak. 

Many people have never heard of it…but this rare RNA virus can become deadly FAST. 😳

The scary part? Early symptoms can look just like the flu:
🤒 Fever 
💪 Body aches 
😴 Fatigue 
🤢 Nausea 

But in severe cases it can rapidly progress to respiratory failure. 🫁

It’s most commonly spread through exposure to rodent urine, droppings, or contaminated dust particles that become airborne. 🐭

There’s no magic cure right now. Treatment is mainly supportive ICU-level care, and despite online claims, ivermectin has not been proven to effectively treat hantavirus in humans. ⚠️
