For today’s #Artist365 feature, we’re visiting Christine Soeltz in Studio 253.

In working with various media, Christine Soeltz has found great satisfaction in the problem solving challenges each medium offers. Her classical training in painting and printmaking has facilitated further exploration in mixed media compositions, including 3D wall sculpture and mosaics.

The resulting body of work is markedly varied and yet the final products often have unexpected connections with each other, which the artist finds fascinating. Themes of animals, trees, land, water and the human condition wrap around and trickle through much of her imagery.
