“When I stepped on campus, I said, ‘What is going to be my legacy - what am I going to do at Quinnipiac that’s going to leave an impact?’ 

I got involved from the beginning with our Student Nurses Association. My sophomore year, I became an RA, and further down the line, I’ve been working with the nursing living-learning community. For me, it’s been about encouraging nursing students to dig deep and get to love the profession; and really helping them along the way.

Our classes on medication or med-surg or physiology are all important; but to me, nursing is so much more than giving meds or changing a dressing. It’s really being with your patient, and it’s being present. It’s being empathetic. And that’s something that I’ve gotten here at Quinnipiac, and I’m so proud to be graduating from this university."
