Working in TV looks glamorous. 

Until the cameras are off and you’re pulling yourself together in a bathroom after running on 4 hours of sleep, covering deadly and traumatic events and being disrespected simply because of the mic in your hand. 

I love writing. 
I love storytelling. 
I love speaking and informing people. 

I just had to accept that TV news was never going to be the place I could do that without losing myself in the process. 

Leaving was something I had to do completely alone and it forced me to ask myself what actually makes me happy;

to ask how I can pursue my calling and work hard without destroying myself to do it.

If you feel stuck right now just remember you are one habit away from a different life.
