The morning my daughter couldn’t get out of the car, I said all the right things.

🔸 I was calm. 
🔸 I was logical. 
🔸 I explained why school was safe.

It made no difference.

Because she wasn’t in her thinking brain. She was in full alarm. And no amount of reassurance reaches an alarm - it just bounces off.
