PLEASE read / watch the video clips in full. There is an insane amount of privacy hacks that have taken place in our community over the past 2 years - most commonly seen in social media hacks. 

**If you know Jax-based artist Tiffany Manning whose IG was SquareShapedLove (pictured in slides), please read! Tiffany’s life has been completely flipped upside down over the past year. EVERYTHING that’s digital of hers has been hacked. When an art client recently text her old number to make a purchase, an impersonator on the other end attempted to collect money with the promise of mailing the art. JSO said there is an app that allows anyone to take control of a phone number (including theirs!) and you would never know! 

She doesn’t have access to her social media accounts so if you were following her, please report and block. If you have a phone number in your contacts, delete/block it. It’s a severe case that can truly happen to anyone, so be vigilant!

This post is not meant to scare you but just to make you aware and to take proper precautions. These are just a few things that have helped me & my colleagues out, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I am very open to being corrected on any info I provided, & always interested in learning what YOU all do to protect yourself.
