Happy #NationalVolunteerWeek! Volunteers are essential to the work we do at United Way of Greater Atlanta, and we’re grateful for their impact. When our volunteers #uniteformore, we can help children thrive across Greater Atlanta.
 
Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of speaking at Global Payments Inc.’s Day of Service, held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It was amazing to see over 250 volunteers come together to work on projects set up by United Way of Greater Atlanta and other community partners: assembling snack packs, building bikes, and more. 
 
An event like this reminds me that all it takes is one person to get another person - that giving, being kind, being generous, is incredibly contagious. Volunteering, whether it’s with 25 people or 250 people, is what helps make Greater Atlanta even greater.
