In 2023, the hype train for Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes rolled into Autzen Stadium for a showdown with the No. 10 Oregon Ducks, but the visitors’ pregame bravado quickly turned into a cautionary tale of overconfidence. Colorado players were trash-talking aggressively and showing visible disrespect by stepping on Oregon’s logo. 

The Ducks responded with ruthless efficiency on the field, as Bo Nix orchestrated a dominant performance with four touchdowns, steamrolling the Buffaloes in a lopsided 42-6 blowout that exposed the gap in talent and execution.
