Have you ever wanted to see an air tanker in action up close? 
Well, one CHP officer unexpectedly got that opportunity.
The CHP motor officer in Templeton, California, was stopped on the side of the road over the weekend when he was surprised by a Cal Fire air tanker.
The plane appeared without notice, flying over a nearby ridge, just as it released its load of red fire retardant.
The officer and his bike were in the line of fire, and both received a bath.
CHP Templeton said, "Even after the surprise makeover, he’s still smiling and still on the job — because wildfire response is unpredictable, messy, and occasionally stylish."

Our friends at Pinky Paws shared their latest rescue of a dog that had been wandering through the dust and weeds in a very hot sweater.
The group believes she may have been left at a truck stop by accident.
People chased her all day on Saturday, but she just kept getting deeper into the fields where coyotes live.
Pinky Paws sent up a drone and spotted her hiding in one of the few shady spots.
They set up a trap and caught her just before sundown on Sunday.
Her fur was matted, and she was covered in foxtails.
She was taken to the vet to be sedated, shaved, and have her bloodwork done.
They are now hoping her owner sees this story and comes back to claim this sweet girl.
