I constantly heard “it only takes one” throughout IVF, and while it originally gave me hope, I remember it stung when it didn’t play out that way for our family. So instead, I’ll leave anyone in this middle of this draining journey with a slightly different sentiment today: every cycle holds the possibility of completely new future, and there’s still a real reason to hold on to hope. 

In honor of Mother’s Day 2026, I made a modest deposit in a new savings account, and plan to do so each month this year, in the hopes that this same time next year I can fund another full IVF cycle and another possibility of a completely new future for another family who knows this path all too well. 🥀
