A glimpse into last summer in Los Angeles at our Joffrey West Summer Intensive, where dancers trained in a fast-moving, multi-genre environment built around versatility, adaptability, and performance. Under the direction of Artistic Director Josie Walsh ballet_red, dancers moved across Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Ballroom, Bollywood, and Musical Theatre, bridging the worlds of concert and commercial dance.⁠

The intensive challenges dancers to expand both technique and artistic range while working with industry professionals across disciplines. Beyond daily training, dancers gain insight into the professional landscape through agent talks, audition workshops, and an immersive rehearsal process.⁠ For dancers attending both weeks, the experience culminates in a fully produced theater performance of original works, bringing the process from studio to stage.⁠
