With its unusual mystery display, it’s no surprise this 1970s Cartier Paris Mystère Tortue achieved over 4X its high estimate and set a new world record at #SothebysGeneva’s Important Watches auction. 

The last model/case Cartier produced in Paris before transitioning their watchmaking entirely to Switzerland, this landmark piece from the Shapes of Cartier Collection ultimately sold to a lucky bidder in the room for 254,000 CHF / $327,000 USD.
